Reed Allen Reed Allen

welcome to intentional wellness

Hello, my name is Reed Allen and I am so happy you are here. I embarked on my counseling journey in 2010 by volunteering at a Sober Living facility in Bloomington, Indiana, while pursuing my undergraduate studies. I was inspired by the changes that can happen when making space for humanness, empathy, and commitment to self-exploration. Afterward, I pursued my Master’s in Community Counseling at the University of Georgia. While attending, I gained insights into the privilege I possess as a white, cisgender, straight female in the broader world and the therapeutic environment. These insights allowed me to create a therapeutic identity rooted in advocacy, safety, and awareness.

I founded Intentional Wellness with the vision of creating a space where clients can perceive themselves holistically and with purpose. As human beings, it's easy to become engrossed in the mindless tasks of our daily lives. During therapy sessions, I provide a platform for clients to explore the intentions behind their behaviors and identify ways to realign with a more authentic and fulfilling life. Many clients express hearing my voice in their minds, asking them 'What are you doing to take care of yourself today?’ I feel that being able to assess needs is a foundational piece to real change and it is my privilege to support others in prioritizing self-care and showing up for themselves.
